I cant tell what is going on the pic.

If that lighter color in the entire center of the coral has all rtn'd........there is no reason to wait

whack it up into as many frags as you can get. cut well into healthy tissue, and seal all open wounds with a thin layer of superglue or epoxy. You have lots of base left there it appears, after you cut all the frags off seal all open wounds left on the base with a thin layer as well.

as far as dipping after an rtn event....... pests dont work that fast, and all dipping does is add unecessary stress. Unless this is a recent addition, the rtn even was caused by soemthing in yoru water parameters, and or possibly not enough flow and the coral finally just gave way in the center, which can happen

how long have you had the piece??

i have this piece for 8 months it grew from 1'' frag, i have plenty of flow in my tank and all parameters are good, i am really puzzeled by this .

here is my par.
alk 8.5(salifert)
cal 440(salifert)
nitrate 0.2-0.5 (salifert)
phros 0.2 (hanna)
mag 1300
salinity 1,026
PH 8.0 day, 7.8 night
everything else looks good in my tank

sometimes it just happens

while there is surely a reason for it, we unfortunately just dont always get to know it

it doesnt change how you respond to it when it does

well cheked all pars again, everything looks the same except mag it droped to 1140 could this be a problem?
