Can you take a photo under daylight spectrum? Complicating identification these days has been the appearance of cross hybrids, particularly of maxima and crocea (though I have also seen max x Squamosa and Deresa x gigas).
Thanks guys, I appreciate your input. I took a couple more pics with whites only on my kessil. Its hard to get a good pic of the clam bc of the angle hes at. Hopefully these work.
The lines in the mantle make me think of T. derasa. Add that to the lack of visible scutes on the shell and what looks to be about 6 folds in the shell and my vote is firmly for a T. derasa.
