1. i have a 50G tank with mostly lps, and zoos right now and was wondering what kind of flow i would need to be able to put easy sps's in my tank. right now my tank is just using a mag5 for the recirculation pump and nothing else. will a tunze6000 on a controller be too much flow for my corals and fish.

2. what are good ways to get rid of detrius?? i have hermits, narrisarious snails and couple other snails... how many would be a good amount for my tank...

3. i have a red velvet wrasse, mystery wrasse, and a onyx clown. what would be a good adition for my tank. i was thinking about midas blenny and a copperband or yellow tang. would that be ok in my tank? any aggression betweeen these fishes??

4. can i keep a single anthias?? if so what are the hardier species?

Lets see what we got here....

1) The Tunze should do fine. IMO, you don't have enough flow for what you have now.

2) You can siphon it out or keep it suspended in the water using LOTS of flow so the skimmer can get it out.

3) Your tanks too small for a Tang or the CBB, I'd stick with smaller fish. How about a small dwarf angel, maybe a Cherub.

4) I've never had luck with Anthias...

If you want corals, stay away from tangs, butterflies and angels: they'll think the corals are part of the menu: in the wild this makes no difference, as they graze and go. In your tank, they circle back for seconds, thirds, fourths, and so on. What you need for corals is potent lights, which also have potent and expensive ballasts. Your inverts will get along fine with that situation, and the corals eat the chemical breakdown of waste, so all that's good. Corals require frequent testing of cal, alk, mg, and they need supplemental calcium and buffer, as a rule.
