cow fish with sunken eyes

hi my cow fish's eyes have sunken is there anything i can do ive tried searching the net but cant find any thing that gives me an indication of whats wrong with him.

any help would be great

Gradually last night he went downhill, he seemed swollen, he got very clumsy knocking into things in the tank, and generally vacant usually such a friendly fish he didnt seem bothered we were thee, he kept swimmimng to the top of the tank.
An hour after we went to bed the missus got up for the toilet and found him dead:sad2:

Sometimes fish lose the ability to osmoregulate when they are sick. In saltwater fish, this can lead to dehydration right in the water. This can manifest as sunken eyes, rapidly lost weight etc.
