Cowfish safety

So I have a baby cowfish in my 29g tank. He is healthy and eats like crazy but I am worried about the safety of the other life in my tank. Is he too much of a risk or am I just being paranoid?

Nilsfish,

Is it a cowfish or a trunkfish? The latter is perhaps more of an issue in regards to toxicity, but my experience has been, once acclimated, the toxicity of trunkfish is minimal. However, the downside is, if you ask people how long their Ostracid (cowfish or boxfish) lived, the answer is very often less than a year - for a number of reasons, none of which I've ever been able to resolve.

A very difficult fish that should never be put into a nano. Do you have any idea how large they get?

Definitely WAY too small for your tank man. They can get almost 1.5 feet long. I would bring him back to the store you bought him from. Not only that, but in a tank that size, if it dies, it will nuke your tank.
