I know nothing about this thing it is about 2" and eats soft corals and macro algae. I looked it up and it is suposed to eat hair algae I have no clue as I have never had it. I know some one out there may have a use for it. Will trade it for a frag of something {no SPS} or money seen it listed for $12.00 if you know anything about this snail make me a offer.

what types of corals are you looking for i got a nice colony of green zoos i would be willing to trade you i alos have green star polpys let me know

Sorry to hear your problems. Researching things before you buy them is a good idea. ;)

Cowrie snails are known coral poylop eaters. Most retailers who sell them will have it listed as such.

I did not buy it, came in a trade. It was sold to the other party as reef safe. They never noticed anything dissapering on them but it would plow everything over on them. I had my doubts from the start and kept it in a tank with just a few corals and a fish. I just do not need 3 tanks running in my bedroom and would like one. I realy have no need for it. If someone has a use for such a snail thats great. It is realy neet looking just do not have a need for it. If some one has a need for it GREAT If not I will find someplace for it. Im not looking to make money on it, just put something eles in the tank to look at. If no one has a need Im sure not going to just destroy it.
