So my new bakpak leaked all night on to the power surge and almost caught my whole house on fire I was awaken at 430 in the morning by a huge pop and ran to the tank to see all black smoke on the first floor of my house!! I didnt know where the water was comming from but I just found it the bakpak I put on last night is leaking from the output tube fitting? does anyone know how to fix this or should I just take it back tomorrow and get a new one?? THanks

Matthew -

I don't have a suggestion on how to fix the problem. However - I was wondering if you had a GFCI outlet where all your tank equipment hook up to?

You should probably return it. However, I do know that folks replace the pieces from time to time. They have to be fairly tight to sit quite snug on the rubber washers or it can leak. I had to tighten down mine once. Also check for cracks and such. Good luck!

Like Mihn said get a GFCI on that ASAP too!!
There's no way that would happen if it's got a grounded GFCI on the other end of the strip.
