yea i apologize, for the c-quest line you really can not go wrong because all breeders you can trace back all the genetics to bill addison. So regardless where you buy an onyx they for the most part are thanks to bill. Also they are nice onyx clowns because they develop their onyx in even pc lighting and at young age. If you have any questions feel free to pm me

this is rods famous pair origin, c quest. Smokes all onyx fish alive

i met bill addison at macna and talked with him for a little. it was really cool. i think i'm going to get a cquest onyx. i wonder what the offspring will look like with an onyx and wyoming white?

Hey fishkid, where are you buying your C-Quest broodstock from? Is it from the PR facility or from offspring of C-Quest broodstock? I'm in a similar quest to find good genes with different family lineage to limit genetic defects. I've thought about a picasso/snowcasso with an onyx before. Just searching for all options before I move on a purchase.

Thanks!

well i originally had 2 wyoming whites but i'm guessing either it died and my clean up crew left no traces of him or it jumped and my dogs ate it. i just don't want to buy another 300 dollar clownfish but i'm not sure if i will go with the onyx yet. i may just get another wyoming white. and i get them from ocean gallerys.

iFisch - I see you have a 14g BC. How do you like it? Have you had any experience with JBJ Nanocube DX? If so, how would you compare the two? Just wondered you experience.... One of the two will be my upcoming home for these onyx clowns.

Are you doing a clown-only tank, no corals, 'nems, etc? If I remember correctly, you just want to breed, or experiment with breeding, but I may be wrong.

Do you have another tank?

I've had experiences with JBJ equipment, and I wouldn't even take it, if you gave it to me. However the Oceanic doesn't seem very different from the two.

Depending on what your plans are I'd go one of these two routes:

($50 gift card!)

(FOWLR)

(enough light for a 'nem, assuming you upgrade all 4 bulbs at about $20/piece)

Ask away -

I'm either getting the Elos Mini or the DFS "HC" tank for my mixed reef, and will be using my BC14 for a pair of Doni's "A" Picasso's/snowcasso's, LR and about 10lbs of sand. No nem - maybe a frogspawn, and two to three medium pieces of SPS for the clowns to swim through, around, etc.

heres my young c-quest onyx. i think theyre just under a year old. theyre about an inch long and are both showing a lot of black for being so young IMO. these fish are kept in a broodstock system with pretty crappy lighting

Dang. I may have to set up multiple tanks.. I love the A picasso's, onyx, Sanjay's, and snowcasso's. Sorry for my wallet.
