crab ID is this a bad crab pls help

is this a bad crab about the size of an emerald grab. hairy tan in color and has black tipped claws. pointy claws not flat like the emeralds. he was a hitchhiker. is he bad or not

Heres a good page of hitch hiking crabs in on live rock ect.
I couldn't find one that matched your but mabby a family of Xanthid or Mithrix crab...mabby Im wrong but I hope this helps.

no sump on my girls 12 gallon nano. I didnt want to take it back to my tank so it ended up in the toilet. thanks for the responses

he did look cool , you should of set him up a breeder tank for a while .

you could always take it to your lfs and feed it to a large puffer, fun to watch.

Looks like a stone crab. I had one as a hitch hiker and he killed 2 clowns, 1 starfish, and a blood shrimp - all in 3 nights time.

I cant see the picture here at work, but it could be a Gorrilla crab... they are a menace to a reef tank and inhabitants. Get him out in whole or in parts using any means.
