Crab ID please

This guy is bigger than a quarter but smaller than a half dollar and gave me a freakin heart attack today. Was putting my new coral arrivals into a bucket to acclimate and I grabbed my new torch out of the bag. This guy falls into the bucket as I scream (I dislike spiders too, but hermits are cute, whatever lol)

So yeah - he looks creepy. Reef safe or no? (my money is no)

I looked briefly over chuck's addiction to try to ID and I'm not very good at being crabby.

Looks like a red mithrax crab to me, but I am no expert.. Might want to google that type and see if it is similar to what you have. They are reef safe
