Crab ID please

That's Ashtoret lunaris or something related to it. I'd need to see a good shot of the whole animal from above to be sure. It's always surprising when it shows up in an aquarium as it's a sand dweller. Do a search here on RC as there are at least a couple of threads about it.

I got some info on websites.
But none of them told me if they are reef safe or not.
Some said that they eats small hermit crabs and snails.
If that's true, I am worried... since I have about 40 hermits and snails in my tank.
Are they reef safe?

Ashtoret lunaris is the correct name.
Matuta is an older name that's no longer considered valid by crab taxonomists.
Whether it's reef safe or not depends on what you value in your tank. In your case it is not reef safe as it will enjoy eating your snails & hermits. If you were worried about corals or fish then this crab would probably be considered reef safe.
