Is this a gorilla crab? Bad for SPS?

A reef safe crab? maybe 2 of 4,000 species at best.
Anything with claws or pinchers, trouble IMM.
Even shrimp not reef safe as they bother LPS corals by stealing food.
Hairy legs. Bad sign.
Trouble, maybe not now, but if food becomes scarce, he’ll eat what he can catch.
Caveat emptor.
 
I agree, looks like a male ruby mithrax crab. Nice photos, are you going to give him a chance or sump him? :)
