Looks to be a Xanthidae species of which contain a great many members and are VERY common finds within our live rock. Oh, and I would remove it as they can become destructive.
Oh, he's removed all right. I ripped apart half the tank. I'm thinking he came in on new fiji leather I added Sunday. Either that or he's a very good hider.
Probably just very good at hiding as I also just pulled a large one out of my tank tonight, thankfully it made the mistake of trying to hide in a crevice that it could not fully fit into and I could pick it out. Not sure how long its been in the tank because I had just added a large acropora sp. attached to a bit of live rock.
I assume this little guy will live in almost anything? I hate to kill him but don't really have a place to put him. Right now it's in a bucket. How do I tell what sex it is?
