Crabs in sump.

Has anyone ever kept any crabs in their sump just because you like them? I don't want to run a second display for a crab, but don't want to put one in the main reef either. My only real concern is if the crab is gravid when I got it that it would spread young into the main tank through the return pump, but this could be an invalid concern.

I dont keep crabs or snails in my sump, they clog up the skimmer

Lot's of people keep crabs in their sump, but just make sure it's got plenty of room and it won't interfere with your pumps or your ATO.
