All shipping companies have a minimum charge, all the airlines charge a 100 pound rate, about $60.00.

Fed ex for our size box charges a minimum charge of $80 up to 20 pounds, after 20 pounds it is $4 a pound additional charge.

To ship marine life by fed ex you must be a certified marine life shipper, have a fed ex account and provide them with your shipping container for their review and certification, before you can ever ship.

That is why you have run into the shipping issue as shipping one live item is simply not cost efficient.

The post office will not ship anything with liquid, so your choices are limited.

And I also forgot to add if you are not a recognized shipper with an account with the airlines you cannot ship anything since 9-11.....security is very tough when shipping anything these days....

If thats true, than why are many people from this site able to ship livestock everyday? I'm not talking about people sending me bad crabs overnight airline shipping. That would be rediculous.
