Crack in my 225

I wasn't sure if it should go here or DIY, but I thought I'd try here first...

hi,
I bought a 225 gal ******* that might need some work. The guy i bought it from said that he thought someone might have tried to pick it from that point... he thought it happened before it had water in it the last time and worked just fine. I don't know if he is telling the truth or not...

here are the pix

I PM'd good acrylic place A, the day I got something from a place I found in town (acrylic place B) (he said he has been doing acrylic for 43 years) acrylic place A messaged me back.
I did weld on 3 with a syringe like the acrylic place B said. acrylic place A said, "a new top would be best, and the next best would be weld on 40 and a sheet of acrylic on top...
I did the WO 3, b/c I had it already. here are pix of the result...
I'm hoping that both work and it just depends on personal preference. (like 6-8 T5 VS MH lights. both work and have different +s and -s )

Is it fixed enough? Should I do the WO 40 and a sheet on top or should it be good for a year or two as is?
Sorry for the poor quaitly pix. I didn't clean it very well, so there is some dirt in the crack. there are air bubbles in the crack as well...

I bought a used tank with a similar crack on top. It was already repaired with a patch on top and bottom and has been holding up fine. The back seam also came apart while moving so I repaired it myself both inside and out. So far it has water tested fine. Try the diy board for more opinions. That's where James from Envision Acrylics hangs out.
