Ok, so I just noticed something really weird on my Cup coral here. For a days my porcelain crab say on top of it, and after he moved on there was some strange while discoloration on it around where he had sat. I ignored it, thinking, "oh well what can I do?" hoping it would get better. I kinda forgot about it, and now tonight when I got home those spots had turned into brown slime like stuff, and several of the polyps next to it had the slime all over it.
Here are come pictures (its hard to see, look at the top middle of the coral.)
I am thinking about blowing the slime off with a turkey baster. It almost looks as if the top layer of it was just irritated and died, then the new layer would grow over it. (like a blister)
So what should I do guys. I am all out of even the most basic test kits and everything is closed until tomorrow.
I can tell you that everything else is looking fine (including the SPS corals in there) I did a water change yesterday. All I dose is Ca and trace elements plus amino and have for months with no negative side effects. I think the coral will be fine, but if not, I don't want it to kill the whole tank.
Here is the thread on my tank, if that helps...
