Does that mean we are full yet?:)

I agree that Paul should do another speach. I enjoyed yours most af all.

Well,

i guess I have kept you guys in the dark long enough, so without further ado, let me introduce to you the 2008 CRASE speakers.

Firstly, it is with great pleasure that i wish to announce that --after a great deal of requests from COMAS members---Dr. Ron Shimek will be returning to CRASE. Dr. Shimek will be discussing invertebrates used as clean up crews, commonly available and some not so commonly available. His talk will encompass the pros- the cons- the dos and the donts.

The second presenter is a new face to the CRASE. Adam Mangino is one of the ORA team and is primarily involved with their captive breeding program and in particular he is responsible for the hybridization to create the indigo dottyback. He will be talking on captive breeding of marine ornamentals.

Also new to the CRASE is one of the most respected names in reef tank lighting. Dr. Sanjay Joshi has published numerous articles on spectral qualities of bulbs and the effect of various reflectors. It is fair to say the level of expertise he will be bringing to the CRASE is outstanding and I very much look forward to meting him. Dr. Joshi will be discussing various options in reef lighting with particula respect to both T5 and MH technology.

The fourth is my good self.... sorry guys but you get to listen to me ramble on about aquascaping from nano to mamoth tanks.

And there it is.... Three outstanding names in practical reefkeeping, four very different topics and an absolute wealth of expertise.

I sincerely hope you look forward to hearing these experts speak as much as I do.

Regards,

P.

Very Nice! Excellent job, thank you for taking your time putting this together. I did not attend this event last year and very much look foward to doing so this year.

Very nice, a real broad spectrum of experts.

I'm really looking forward to it. Already have the date blocked off on my calendar!

yessssss! i knew it'd be worthwhile to ask Ron to come back! haha~

I'm looking forward to ALL speakers. They're all masters of their trade and I can't wait to be edge-uh-mucated. :)

Sounds like a good line up, wish we could have got someone to speak about clams seeing as how mine mysteriously died. I'm still researching that one but really want to get another one soon. just waiting till I'm confident I can keep one alive for longer than 2 months this time. Maybe we can convince Adam Mangino to bring us some goodies from ORA :D ...can coral donations be considered a tax deduction? hehe

Great job Paul, we appreciate your hard work!

Great job!

Great job!

Way to go, Paul!

Ron was outstanding last year at CRASE and we really enjoyed Sanjay at the Dallas Wave - he is very informative and entertaining! Looking forward to Adam's talk and again look forward to your talks, which are second to none!

Another top line-up!

rich. i talked with some other people and found out that everyone's clam that they got from aquariums that was in that shipment died....i think paul was correct about the virus thing, but i'd be more concerned about a refund, lol... darn thing was a pretty penny.

Where's the line start to get advance tickets? I sure wouldn't want to miss this one. Last years sellout has me wanting my ticket now!

1. Bob Mennel

LOL...Thanks Bob, for reminding me what I need to be doing next.

Ok. As far as tickets go. Due to us having an extra speaker and a much more expensive venue the ticket price is increasing....

The tickets for 2008 CRASE are now a massively stunningly expensive $15 each. We did try our very best to keep the ticket at last years price but we just couldnt do it.

We are also working with a caterer and will offer a second tier of tickets at $25 each which will include a lunch (details on that to follow). these ticket will be a different color from the general admission ticket.

Tickets are currently being printed and as soon as we receive them....they will be on sale.

Paul.

Ehh not to worried about the refund thing there's no way to tell if a clam is sick and it looked great when i bought it. I know Aquariums wouldn't sell stuff they didn't think was healthy. Although i bought this one out of romans nano and the other bigger clam that was with it was still there last time i checked. I Might try again about the time Crase rolls around. Time to start saving up that Money...I'm so excited!
