Well, its going. But its at the algae bloom stage. How beautiful. First came the Diatoms, then a little hair, now a bit of Cyano. All in the space of a week. The diatoms left, I can manage the hair (my Bicolor angel and OneSpot Foxface eat the stuff, afterall). But I did my first water change yesterday, turkey-basted out SOME Cyano and stirred up the sandbed.
Hopefully, this will work out as the new tank settles down. Parameters have been looking good, though I didn't check today. Will do it tomorrow.
Basically, I'm in the new LR stage, except with fish and some 'shrooms (they never die!)and assorted other inverts now appearing out of LR I've had nearly 6 years. Go figure.. LOL
BTW, I found 2 Ovum cowries in my sand and LR when I broke down the old tank. RTN my butt. I never even suspected, they must have been in/on a coral colony.
Well, hear is to hoping it will be LPS ready in a few weeks..
Sincerely,
Matt
