Crazy emerald crab growth

I have 3 emerald crabs in my tank and 2 are great, but there is one that is a little crazy. The smaller on has long tentacles that have grown from the shell. I would say they are longer than the diameter of the crab. The tentacles are white, pink in color and have a five finger looking palm to them. It honestly looks like some type of coral growth on shell. It has not molted in some time and started on a leg. Now it looks like a furry little critter in the tank. Any one know what it could be?

anyone?

Might it be some kind of sea feather? I once had a (probably) sea feather attached to the shell of a hermit crab and wondered a long time what that tentacle might be.
