Well, I had went back to the LFS and spoke to one of the guys, it's pretty obvious my maroon was beating up the tangs fins. I'm suprised at how much fin rippage went on in one day. I am also suprised my maroon did not like the new tankmate because the last tang was his buddy. I took the tang back to the LFS so he could get peace and quiet and heal up. I did purchase a sailfin tang (red sea, last one was a Hawaii swimmer) and I removed the maroon, and will keep him out for a few days to allow the tang to establish himself as resident, hopefully...but any helpful information on this topic is so welcomed my friend! Thanks for the response. As for the powerhead, I dont think it made a difference in his behavior.
