Crazy venomous Foxface

I just wanted to cool my tank by adding a small fan to the hood of my tank. This freaks out the large Foxface and he splashes water on my T-5's. I guess it is the vibration of the clip on fan. He is really scared and staying in his nightime coloration. I had to remove the fan because this fish could easily shatter my Birds nest. What should I do? The extra fan seems to lower the temp but I can't have a crazy fish wreaking my tanks and lights.

Maybe you can turn it on for a short period of time each day and add a more minutes every day. Isuspect the fish will get used to it after a while.

are you running a sump clip it on the sump and cool down the inflow of water that will help out also....Thats what I do, as I hate the look of the fan on the DT. I try to keep the DT as clean looking as possible.

I also have a FF and he does freak out here and there, my Naso tang will not leave him alone, he love the FF and is always by his side...the FF doesn't mind most of the time
