I saw one of these guys in my LFS and see that they are listed as one of the better angels for captivity.

I'm referring to the Apolemichthys xanthurus. I currently have a reef tank with the following corals: Hammer, Frogspawn, Bubble, Galaxea, Ricorea, Zoas, Finger Leather, Xenia, Kenya Trees and Mushrooms. I read that they areprone to nip at stoney corals, which seams tobe a generic statment for angels. Would any ofthe above corals be at risk to this fish? My flame angel likes to nip at my Xenia, but doesn't kill it.

Any experience of these fish would be helpful.

Also, does their color fade as they get older? Some of the photos I see appear to be of more faded specimens.

I would guess your Zoa's may eating with any of the Apolemichthys angels, some eat hydroid in the wild. If its a smaller one, that is under 3 inches and you QT and treat the fish, it should do fine.
