creating double wave in 8" tank

Got my wavebox and extension. I have a single wavebox running currently with about a 1" wave. I am wanting to see if I can get the double wave and was wondering the best way to go about it. The front of the tank is clear the entire length of the tank. Should I run the 2 boxes in synch to create a stronger wave? Run them at opposite ends out of phase? I understand the concept of doubling the frequency on the controller, just wondering if others have used their wave boxes to create a double wave. I am assuming that a double wave will work better with my two overflows as the axis points would be closer to the overflow boxes which are on the back about 1" from each end of the tank.

You could try both synchronous and inverse modes, typically inverse is only advantageous on tanks longer than 10ft. The double wave will create the same overall flow but with a shorter wave, this will result in a bit less movement underwater. The wave will also be faster which may look unnatural. The main reason to do this is as you stated- the overflow position, you would just have to try it.
