Hey everyone! I'm not particularly new to reefs, but I'm in the process of upgrading to a bigger and better tank from an 8 gal nano and was looking for some input. I have done a fair share of research around here with old posts but many of them seem outdated (posted more than 2 years ago) and I was hoping to get a little more recent input before making this investment.
Here is the setup that I am considering:
Tank size: 29 gal
Lighting: 1 Aqua Illumination Hydra

(with controller)
Powerheads: 2 Koralia 600s and 1 Koralia 1500
Heater/chiller: unsure
Filter vs. skimmer: unsure
Stock that I'm hoping to keep:
-Clams
-SPS
-LPS
-Softies
My biggest concern is the flow for the SPS and the lighting for the Clams. Also I've heard quite a bit of debate about filter vs. skimmer in a SW tank and haven't been able to reach a definitive conclusion about it.
Any thoughts or input that you would like to give would be greatly appreciated! I apologize if this isn't the exact forum for these questions, but I'm a little new here
Thanks!
