Looks like a stomatella snail but it's hard to tell from your pic. Do a search on them to see if that's what it looks like.

Yup, it's a black Stomatella. They are reef safe.

agreed. stomatella snail. highly beneficial to the reef tank. Considered a very fast moving snail, also known as the "head shell" snail for the signature helmet it wears. They will reproduce often, as mine can be seen spawning into the water, and i have baby stomatellas. They're quite cute in my mind, and i call them "speedy"s.
