Critters for a display refugium?

Peppermint shrimp are really good in refugiums. Especially if you have Aiptasia. I had some and the shrimp killed them all in a few days. I also have a ton of pods, and micro stars.

How big is the tank?

If you run the lights on an alternate schedule you might want to consider a "nocturnal" tank.

If you run the lights during the night, that means during your day, it's the tanks "night", so that's when the nocturnals will come out. It's still light enough for you to see them.

Marine Bettas or a Flashlight fish if it's huge, or lobsters and other nocturnal inverts if its a bit smaller.

Upside down jelly are cool if you have nothing aggressive in there that may nip in them. you would also have to have very low flow as they could get blown around. beautiful creatures!

pistol/goby combo would be an idea if you feed them, they might not feed on the pods living on your rocks, as they stay in their burrow.

A display fuge can be such a nice thing. Kind of like a lagoon next to the reef edge. So different and quiet.

Updated pic of mine. Still haven't added any other critters. ;)
Just have two cardinals, snails, hermits, brittle star…

After these pics I had to harvest all the red bubble algae from the mangrove roots.
