Croacea Clams in a BC29?

I’m new to salt and even newer to clams.

Thinking about getting a croacea clam.

Can I keep one in a BioCube 29? At what level should he be placed? Would the sand be best? What do I feed it? What else should I be considering?

Tank now has a peppermint shrimp, 2 cleaner shrimp, snails, sally crab and two small clowns. Tank running for 50 days. Loaded with live rock and live sand.

Thanks to all in advance for the advice.

If you have the standard lighting in the BC it may not be a good idea for a crocea clam in there. They are more demanding in their light requirements than the lighting will offer. I`m not sure about the other kinds but I think either the deresa or maxima has less light needs and may work in there.
I know one of the clam experts will chime in on this soon

Stock lighting. 1 Coralife 10,000K 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamp. 1 Coralife Actinic 36Watt Compact Fluorescent lamp. Tank is about 14 inches deep.

update your lighting to either metal halide or T5, compact florescent is not enough light. Also your tank should be set up for a minimum of six months before attempting clams.
