Crocea Clam keeps moving

I placed my new crocea +3 days high up on the rocks, about 12" away from my 10k 175 Watt MH. Every morning I find him on the sand bed or lower in the rockwork. Is this becuase it doesn't like the location, or is it trying to bury itself in the rock and inadvertantly falling/moving? The clam extends nicely during the day, doesn't appear to be gaping etc..

the clam doesnt like its home. Try some different spots to see if it will stick. When they boring into crevasses, they are difficult to get out, so I doubt this is the action which is causing the falling.

I did the same thing you just described and he moved a little lower thru-out the week, then i found him on the sand be, but he was on his side soooooo I put him back up top and he moved a little more, he's been up there for about 3 months now and loves it.
