Crocea help

I have a 4" Crocea. I have had it for almost a year. Its mantle is fully extended and from a distance it looks great but up close, it looks like the mantle is flaking off. It looks like the "blue" coloring is coming off the mantle. Any suggestions? All levels check out except maybe Ph 8.4

8.4 is fine. what lighting do you have. can you post a pic?

I will try and post a pic later today. I have the Orbit Extreme light fixture. 520 watts of pc's.

move it up closer to the light, at least half tank. its too far away for pc's

It will be better in the rock work, it's bleaching from lack of light.

croceas are reef top clams and they are the most light demanding of all the clams. all the T. clams are most commonly found up in the reef . there really isnt any "sand bed clams"

Derasas Gigas clams require the least amount of lights.
