Crocea help

I have a 4" Crocea. I have had it for almost a year. Its mantle is fully extended and from a distance it looks great but up close, it looks like the mantle is flaking off. It looks like the "blue" coloring is coming off the mantle. Any suggestions? All levels check out except maybe Ph 8.4

croceas are reef top clams and they are the most light demanding of all the clams. all the T. clams are most commonly found up in the reef . there really isnt any "sand bed clams"
