Crocea help

My crocea hasn't been opening up as much as it use to. It is directly under 150W 14K lighting. As far as I know, no fish has been bothering it recently but my blenny did find its way to the clam about a month ago. Does it look ok? Here are 2 really bad pics I took a few minutes ago.

please list all water parameters, how long you've had the clam, what fish you have, what filtration you have how long the tank has been up and try to get a better shot of the clam. dont worry about getting really close i want to see what else is around it also

The clam is in a container near the top of the water, been there for about 3 months because my bicolor blenny started nipping at it. Tank has been up for a year, had the tank for ~4 months. Other fishes are flame angel, 2 percs, and the blenny. I have a modded seaclone that I got recently, 2 rio 600 and 1 mj600. Lights are off now so I can't take a picture, half the clam doesnt open and spread out like it use to. :( It just kinda stretches up.

Both the blennie and the flam angel are known to nip at clam mantles if not provided with enough algea for them to graze upon. Keep an eye out for these two fish. You may have to sit and watch your tank for at least a couple of hours before you can say that it not these two fish that are causing your clam to close up like that.

But it's not those fish, the clam is enclosed in a container and the fishes can't get in there. My flame has never shown any interest in the clam, only the blenny.

Params

sg 1.025
temp 80
nitrite 0
nitrate 0
ammonia 0
pH 8.3

So, the tank has only been set up for 4 months, am I reading that correct?

What are your calcium and alk levels?

IMO, a 150watt 14k bulb is not enough to support a corcea long term.

My mistake, a typo, tanks is set up for a year, I have the clam for about four months. I don't have a calcium or alk testing kit and the clam is really high up so it is getting plenty of light. I have also checked for snails and found nothing. There is also a powerhead aimed fairly close to where the clam is.

clams are very sensitive to chem swings and will suck the Ca/Alk right out of a tank. you need to get a Ca, Alk and Mg test kit and get these in line. when you Chemistry is out of wack clams have a really hard time and can look pretty funky

I can even see the nip marks on the mantle. Your clam is stressed...after suffering the attacks from your fish and then being placed in a plastic container is stressing it out. My suggestion is to place it into another aquarium where it can heal up. How long do you plan on leaving it the container?

If you want to keep clams, you're gonna have to get rid of the blenny...

Agreed....container or not, get rid of the fish, and also, get ALK and CA kits ASAP. You're lucky it's still alive!
