crocea in trouble- cleaner shrimp attack

MY CLAM HAS BEEN IN MY TANK FOR ABOUT 1.5 MONTHS. IT LOOKED FINE. However, the last few days it has been retracted from cleaner shrimp picking at it. It looks to extend if they will leave it alone but they keep coming back. What can I do? I removed the clam and checked for anything funny. the shell seems fine. I cannot see the bissel threads as it is really attached to its rock.

try feeding the shrimp a little more often if not then pull them out.

After cleaner shrimp attack. Mine is now 90% recovered. The shrimp could be picking at dead/dying areas or it's just evil and likes to eat clams. Get it out before it's too late.

Clam is doing fine. I removed him for one day, let the water jet clean off his mantle area, and no further trouble.
