Crocea pic - not extending as usual. Help?

My crocea is about 5-6". It used to open really nice and full and it appears it isn't as much. I'm not sure if I need to be worried or not. I hope you can see it from this picture. Intstead of his mantle being almost horizontal to the top of the shell, it's more V shaped. It's planted on a rock about 15" from the surface. Any help?

Also, wanted to mention, he is still very reactive to light and flashes from the camera. Calc is 420 and alk is 10dkh. Amm, nit, nitrate are all 0. I thought maybe it was flow but he is in no direct jet of any powerhead or other jet from my sump.

Well I unplugged my powerhead that points to the front of my tank and it actually expanded better. Plugged it in and it arched more. Is it possible that is the issue? When I toss food in the tank, it's not like it whips by the clam. Maybe I'll aim the jet somewhere else.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

This happened to my croceas that are up on rocks when I had the tunzes pointed too much towards them. Once I switched the flow path away from the clams all was fine again.

I was doing some tank maitenance today and it was much better after I moved the powerhead direction. Odd how a little flow does that.

Thanks again.
