Crocea Tipped Itself??

I was wondering if it was normal for Crocea to move themselves around this much. It was attached upright to a rock on the substrate for the last few weeks, but then this morning I woke up for find it (still very firmly attached) but tipped on it's side, halfway off the rock.

It's been doing great otherwise. It's had good mantle extension, good colour, no signs of PM or gaping.

Right now it's faced itself towards the glass, almost in the sand to where the light probably isn't hitting it much at all.

Is there anything I should do? I do I leave it alone and let it move itself back up the rock?

i would stand it upright so its facing the light. you can burry the rock so in the sand then pile the sand up a little on its sides to support it some

Do you have any fish in your tank? Maybe someone is picking on it?

Sorry for the late answer... spring cleaning

Thanks Mbuna, I turned the rock around so that the mantle is facing the light although it's still at an angle. I also put another piece of rubble rock under it's shell to prop it up out of the sand.

Bdimas, I've got a couple yellow tailed damsels, a kole tang, a bi-colour blenny, and an orange spot goby that I've seen maybe twice since I've gotten it.

I watch my tank pretty closely and havn't noticed anyone picking on it. The best I can think of is that my Kole Tang swims over it about every 15 seconds making it retract and reopen.

if a clam tips itself over or starts to lean is this a sign that its not happy at where it currently is or is it just a balance issue????

mine tipped sideways about 3 months ago, and continued his good health so far, good growth still

he is at a 45 degree angle, still getting good light

I straightened him afew times, he kept tipping everynight

Mine appears to be in great health. There's even new growth on it since I got it, so I don't think thats it. My thought is that it probably is because my tang swims over it too much and that may be upsetting it.

Okay.. I have one more question. I just pulled this starfish off the shell of my clam. I've only seen it once before and it was really late at night so I couldn't mess with it. I've only ever seen it on the shell of the clam.

It looks like an asterina, with three main legs and then three smaller legs all pushed together. The only thing is though, it's grey instead of white.

I'm wondering if this is what's been ****ing the clam off? If my camera wasn't in the shop I'd take a photo. I've got it in small bowl for right now.
