Crocea Won't Stay On Rocks

I purchased a Crocea a couple of weeks ago. I had him on the sandbed with a rock just underneath him. After he attached to the rock I have moved the clam and the rock about halfway up my rockwork. I have done this twice, both times he has jumped back down. He is now on the sandbed and seems happy. Should I leave him on the sand or keep trying to move him up?

I have a 120 with 250W 10K XM's for lighting.

Yours too? I've given up. Mine goes to exactly the same spot and moves about freely to angle himself around the rambunctious urchin when it just HAS to get past. It grows, it flourishes, its color is great. It's been 7 months and I've quit worrying.l

mine kept doing this also but onto the barebottom! was scared he was going to injure himself, but i finally got him to attach to the rocks I think hes been there for a few months.
