I have two crocea but one is not as open as the other.the clam is also more differant .It looks differant from the other. It is more green brown and the skin has a pattern on it.I have them at equal hights but the one that is more open and is more towards the left center and seems to get more light. The other seems to get good lighting but that one doesn't open up as much.It could also be the type of color or if there are differant species of crocea.I was wondering if I should move him next to the other crocea or leave him considering they are only 4 to 5 inches away from each other.I have another spot were he can get more dirrect light. Since I have the 1 metal halide it has to span the entire tank but the left and right sides are bright but not as bright as the center.I find the last 3 to 4 inches of the sides of the tank are dimmer.I do have a montipora and a birds nest in those areas that are doing great.and they are both lower than my clams.sorry for babbling I hope this makes sense.

if the clam is not opening as much as the other, then i dont think it not getting enough light.if it wasnt getting enough light it would be hyperextending its mantle. do you have a pic?

I dont know how to put a pic on the site.I moved him a little more towards the center where he will get more light. How can I send or post a pic?
