CROCODILE HUNTER Steve Irwin Killed by Stingray

Steve Erwin, known as the Crocodile Hunter on TV was killed in a freak accident when a stingray's barb pierced his heart.

This is a tragic loss for the entire planet. That man has done a lot of good for a lot of animals and people. He will be greatly missed.

Thank god he didn't get hit by a truck! I think he'd be P.O.'d up in heaven right now. Or where ever he went.

Nice thing was it was quick and painless, venom straight to the heart probably took him out in no time flat.

Death is as natural as birth, we all have to go at one point. He was lucky, he got to die doing what he loved.

Yes, it is hard to believe that with all the crocs and snakes it was finally a freakishly accurate stingray strike that got him. He dedicated his life to educating people and protecting the animals he loved so much. A friend showed me the video of the incident and the stingrays he was filming were large enough that he was riding them just before he got hit. Best wishes go out to his wife and kids. A friend of mine put it best though "Dude, the guy spent his whole life ****ing off animals what did you expect? One of them was bound to catch him."
