I found the crown on the other side af the tank and the tube moved a good distance so i am going to guess its the half black angel and she will be moved over the weekend. Any chance it will regenerate or is it done for? Any input appreciated.:sad2:

Dusters can lose heads and grow them back, I've had the worm dance all over my tank and settle under the liverock(where it can't be seen). best of luck

I have a feather duster which used to be in the sand bed. It was quire small but did grow a bit over time.
Anyway, the suction cups from the powerhead failed me and I came back from work to find a sandstorm and no signs of the feather duster. It had a pretty yellow color.
So after fixing the powerhead and dusting off the rocks, I found the feather duster a couple days later in one of my DIY base rocks. It build its tube in the rock and half the crown was gone. It grew back over time and even survived a month of neglecting the tank.
I am not sure what will happen with the complete crown gone, but sometimes they are quite hardy.

There is a whitish calcium looking formation which has come to the top off the tube and the recceded again....so it is still alive. i will feed the tank well and hope for the best. Thanks!!!

It will grow back, one of my heaters failed in Feb. my temp got really low 64 deg. my feather duster dropped his entire crown. I thought he was dead, as I had lost alot of other stuff, but after a month or so he started growing it back, now hes good.l
