Crude?

I ordered some of the PA crude for a tank that is new with a mix of aragocrete and florida aquacultured rock. Based on the reviews on the site, I expected to see a lot of life in it, but it looked pretty dead. Do i just wait? Will life show up given a little time? It was pretty cheap but I am still hoping I did not waste my money

You will be just fine with it, give it a little bit of time. Personally, I don't use it for the substrate in my display though, I think it's more preferable in a refugium because it is pretty mucky. Give it a little time and you should be pleased with it.
