Cruel joke???

When I got my first SW tank I had no intentions of getting into coral. Didnt even get it cycled before my plans changed and was looking for coral. Wasnt up more than a few months before I figured out it was too small a tank. So I upgraded to a slightly bigger tank with the plan to grow it out and then get a big tank someday. Well the day came and desided that my new 120 was as big a tank as I really need and had time for. The day it came I was like OMG that is huge. Set it up and was so happy to have the room I always wanted.

Today is its 4th month birthday and would you believe im sitting here saying how small it looks. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT!!!

How big do I need to go to be happy? Believe it or not I saw the 3700 gallon tank in the USR forum and thought Damn that would be nice. It will be a long time in comiing and im really only dreaming. I cant ever see me having a tank that big but if the past is an indicator then that 3700g tank will be ariving in the spring.

Must be some kind of sick cruel joke the reef gods are playing on me.

Yes I wish my first tank was MUCH bigger. Its rough buying all new equipment AGAIN for a larger tank. I always reccomend to people to get the largest tank they can afford because most people end up wanting a bigger one eventually especially when they get into collecting corals and run out of realestate.

remember the 2nd "Noble Truth" of buddhism: The basis of all suffering is desire. There is never such a thing as "enough". We will always crave more. That is the way of things grasshopper:)

This thread is too funny…lol…. They do seem small after a few months. Especially after adding rock, fish and corals.
