Guys. Question with pics to follow. Want help IDing if this is ich. I j is what ich is but I can't believe it would have gotten in my tank with all the precautions so I want your opinions.

Scribbled angel and a hippo. Let's call them Frick and frack since they're best buds. Used the tank transfer method. And qtd for four weeks. Also used prazi pro on them. Also freshwater dipped on arrival, and prior to entering my system. They have been on my system for about three weeks, and yesterday for the first time each one had one or two white dots on them.

I've had other fish in there for over a month no issues. Tank transfer method and QT for a month. Other fish are 4 raised clowns, pair of mandarins. And a fox face. The fox face came in the shipment as the scribbled angel and hippo. All are exhibiting no symptoms. I did have ich back in early August, but let the tank go fallow from August 3rd until November 26th.

could be sand, could be lympho. keep an eye out on the spots to see if they go away really quick (likely sand) or if they stay a long time (more than 3 or 4 days means lympho).

if you start seeing a bunch more spots and the fish starts to flash a lot, likely is Ich.

did you TTM all the fish while your tank ran fallow? i.e. no fish has ever entered the DT without treating and QT'ing them first?

Tagging along out of concern for upcoming fish addition. Sounds like you went through reasonable efforts to keep ich out of your tank.

Spar that is correct nothing went I. Without tank transfer and qt. That's why I'm confused. I'll keep you posted as this came up yesterday day. In regards to lympho best cure is diet?

for lympho, water quality and diet. soak the food in selcon or other vitamin supplements to help it. lympho is not anything serious and will go away on its own over time.

So water quality is excellent. Food...there not eating anything but pellets (spectrum... Thank god). I did put some seaweed in and they devoured it first time ever. Also from the pics I noticed the hlle is the worst I've seen it so I'm thinking nutrition. I do have some macro algae (Mexican calupera). And I was hoping thy would decimate that, but hey barely touch it.

Thank you so it's faded tips on HOW to make them eat this vitamin enriched food lol.....I'll keep you posted I'll get them through this and thank you for the help. I appreciate it..

Great call. Ill soak some pellets . The spots have moved, but there are still the same amount present, but in different spots. On the angel he had one spot on his pectoral fin. That one is gone, but on the other pectoral fin he has two spots.
