Crystal Clear Water.....HOW?

Good for you. Now you are hooked on ozone. The improvement in water clarity is noticeable the first few days you use it. Cool.

my orp hasn't really risen up much it's been around 300-310 is this normal?

How long has it been running, have you checked your flow rate on your air pump, and water level in your reactor. My water level is all the way down in the reactor, maybe less then 1/2 an inch. I have mine set up to come on at low value of 350 and turn off at high value of 390, and pretty much averages around 400-425, im no expert yet on Ozone, but sure does show in the clarity of my water, its crystal clear. I am happy so far..

I have been running Ozone 24/7 for about 35 years continousely. My water is crystal clear and I use no reactors, GFO, GAC, filter socks or anything else.
I don't use a drier or set the controller. I pump 200MG/Hr ozone right into a DIY 5' tall skimmer. No problems yet.

my water level in my reactor is low all most all the way down on the bottom. I have been running this for over 3 weeks now. my orp is usually around 250-280 prior not it hovers around 280-310 is that normal ? i run mine from midnight to 7am and 2pm to 4 pm. Maybe i should get a orp calibration fluid to check if my probe is off.

Wow, tank looks great! I run mine through a carbon reactor and also run a BP reactor. My phosphate is at .02 according to Hanna Checker and Nitrite is at 0 with API, I wonder if im stripping it to clean.

Yes check your probe.

You should run it till it reaches your desire ORP level (about 400) and have it turn on and off base on ORP, not some set time interval.

so get my orp level up to say my desire level is around 355. Then if it drops below 355 turn it on?

I run mine without an air dryer and I run it on a set time schedule. I never control ozone based on orp. The orp thing is just one more number for me to chase. About 8 years ago I saw this German reefer in YouTube who runs ozone 8hrs a day through a skimmer with no issues. I tried it for 8 hrs and never had any issue with my systems. I did start slow like 2 hours per day and slowly ramped it up. I run mine now from midnight to 6am and from 2pm to 4pm. I come home from work with crystal clear water.

I love ozone. Don't think it's a cure all, but loved what it did for my system. Unfortunately after I moved I didn't have room for everything, especially my old ev400 skimmer that gave the ozone 3 feet of contact time. Combined with the built in John guest ozone fitting. Worked great. Didn't run anything fancy. Just a JED ozone generator straight to skimmer port. Although I did notice once orp reached 450 my sps began really getting ****ed and sliming. So i had to control mine via the apex. But only to shut it off. Ran it from 12am to 5 am every night. Only shut off when orp got to high.
