Crystal Seas Marinemix Bioassay

I see where you guys are stocking the Crystal Seas Marinemix salts now, but I do not see the "Bioassay" formulation listed on your web site. Any plans to stock this in the future? I got the impression that this formulation, without the dechlorinator, is really what Dr. Ron was recommending.

Hi,

I don't think the manufacture sells the bioassay in a commercial package, just in bulk, but the Crystal Sea is the same formula with the dechorinator. I'll doulble check with ME and see if bioassay can be sold in 50 and 150 gallon buckets.

I was under impression though that Dr. Ron still said the one with dech. was just as good. Really most people do not need the dech. but guess it doesn't hurt anything.

Thanks Jason. You may be right about the bulk packaging. I like the idea of not putting anything in the tank that is not necessary, but the dechlorinator is probably OK.

If you find out anything from the manufacturer, do me a favor and update this thread. Thanks.

Bioassay

Bioassay

My Bioassay formula came in a white box for 150 gallons, same box as the regular Marinemix but with a yellow sticker on it saying 'no dechlorinator' and 'bioassay' I think. FWIW

Hi,

I sent an email to the owner of ME, hopefully hear monday. Sounds like i can get the 150 box for sure, hopefully 50 is available too!

thanks

Hi,

Got info from the owner of ME today. The Bioassay is only available in 150 gallon boxes. I'll be ordering some this week, probably have it next week.

Would be interesting in hearing some feedback about the regular formula. Meaning, i'm stocking 50 gallon box and 150 gal bucket of Crystal Sea. What are your thoughts on keeping these and bioassay or would the 150 gal bucket probably never be sold? Any ideas? Ideally, limiting our inventory to less items is best, lets us stock more of less sizes, rather then a few of many sizes etc.

Just wondering,

jason

I like my salt in buckets, but if the bioassay is better (by not having chlorine remover) that's what I'll use. I am just about through my first 150 gal of marinemix. I need to pick up some salt on Fri or Sat. I would like to see if the bioassay is as cloudy as the marinemix. Sounds like I'll be buying the bucket this trip :)
Will the 150 box be the same price as the 150 bucket ?

Hi,

I got the bioassay ordered today, should have it next week. Looks like it's a little less expensive then the bucket, it's 29.95 for 150gallon box.

thanks

Jason,
I added myself to the waiting list, and if my next visit to Indianapolis coincides with a time you are open to the public, I may try to save the shipping and pick it up.

May I say I am more than impressed with your customer service in responding to this query, but not surprised. Hope the bioassay work out well for PA.

Bioassay being stocked at PA. That's great. I look forward to giving it a tryout. And better priced too. The extra $5 must be for the buckett. :) I save a ton with you guys being able to pick the items up and all.
Keep up the good work !
