CSS 220 dont produce. any mods to help.

My Coralife Super Skimmer Makes alot of bubbles but most disapate at the surface. Sometimes it start breaking the surface but doesn't produce much. Dial is turned so water is at its highest level so it makes the most but doesnt help much.

Any ideas why?

Any mods to kick this into to gear before i buy a new one?

I would work with this a bit more before you drop money on a new one. Assuming there are DOC's in your water, turn down the flow so that you increase the dwell time in the chamber. It sounds as if perhaps you may not have enough contact time going on.

this model comes with a no adjustable powerhead that is sent with all. I got the same pump and switched it to make sure the pump wasn't the problem. All other people i've talked to liked this skimmer and don't have issues but i have had this for 2-3 years trying it on and off but have only got it to work for about a month at a time with dim results.

What are DOC's?

I had a ss 125 and it did the same thing, I saw a thread on here for the fishing line mod, Take 5-10# test line and weave it around the needles of the prop, After I did that I kept skimmate in the cup.
