Definitely need to start with the same amount. It usually takes a month for them to start spreading. It took me awhile to get to like 10 but at a certian point I now get a new bh polyp perday. I fragged 2 frags last week for 2 ctar members and you wouldnt even know that I did. Also everyone should start with the same kind preferably from the same colony but not a must. My hornets dragon eyes amd radio active dragon eyes grow crazy. Any of the higher light bigger polyp ones grow fast. Any of the deep water small polyp zoas grow sloooooowww. This is just from my experience but I could be wrong

Yes, we will be doing out best to make sure everyone starts with the same amount and all from the same colony.

PaulyWalnuts has generously offered up a colony of Nuclear Greens. Hopefully we will go that route and get this going. Need to wait till after the holidays to give everyone a chance to view the thread and see if they are interested.

I dont think they really care to be honest. Its more abosut stability with them. Giving them a solid home to stay in. When I leave frags in the sand bed trying to figure were I wanna keep them they dont grow ever. As soon at they are in there final home they spread like wild fire. I probably should tell everyone all this after the contest but oh well.

Wow, you guys have a lot of members. One little thing we did was get a coral in this case a zoa that the club didn't have. Since we have swaps and trade with one another having a new zoa circulated was our idea. Great start. Our club is down for the "west vs east". Will be watching this thread and see how it turns out. wine country reefers
