Cube and slightly bigger tank

Still having some distoms left
All parameter seems fine also po4 reached zero

So it is time for little update, sps were hand picked by me when visit a coral farm down in bali.
Lol picked like 35 mini colonies.
All went straight into the tank and doing alright.

Sorry about your previous tank but looking forward to this one.

Looks great bud..nice and clean

Looking great...will be following the progress of this tank for sure.

Thank you , I have a bit problem though. Having a hard time crystal clearing water of my tank. I do not know if it is because the ati sand, never have used fine grains sand before.
Might try set my two mp40wes running around 50% maximum speed, will it be enough for sps ?

The lack of crystal clear water is to do with the water itself and not the ATI lights.

I recently restarted my tank like you...and it took a week or so to get clear water...it is either likely due to:

1. Bacteria. With new tanks and general excess of nutrients from using new sand/rocks etc, there will be a slight bacterial bloom which causes the water to appear ever so slightly milky look. It will go away by itself as the rocks and sand adjust and bacteria adheres and grows within the rocks.

2. Sand. If you used fairly fine sand, and didnt wash out the fines, this will causes the pumps to pick the fines. It should clear within a few days once the skimmer kicks in properly. You can run fine filter wool to trap most of the fine silt.

Ati white fiji sand, not lights :p.
It is 3weeks already , i think it must be creating some sort sand storm due to high flow.

Haha sorry, didnt realise ATI sold Sand!

Because it is 3 weeks, it might still be possible it is due to bacterial bloom.

In any event you can turn down the pumps and see if it makes a difference.

I bet on bacterial bloom. Let us know how it goes. :)

Will report back when it is clear bro

I did turn down the pump to less than 50% capacity still the same.

Lol too many small particles floating around ,hopefully it will clear up soon,.

Real silly question. However between two tanks of 150gal, what is better suited to tangs: rectangular or cube?

Your cube is awesome. Well done and sorry for a hijack
