Culd Rowaphos cause clams to stop opening?

I haven't run my Rowaphos reactor for a month. I added three clams to my tank right about that time. I put a new media bed in the reactor three days ago and started it back up. Now two of my Crocea's are not opening up as much as they used to. Can low phosphate or Rowaphos be bad for clams?

That could be it. I thought I had it rinsed well, but when I put it back inline on the tank some of the media ended up in the tank. One of the croceas is open completely, the other one is the one I'm worried about. Theres flesh on both ends of the clam that are open and look healthy, but the middle has no flesh. Is there something I should do for him?

as a side note, I can spell "could". It's funny how you can do a post and misspell a word and not catch it. I only noticed it while doing this post.

Hers a picture before and after.

I just did this recently but with phosguard. I got all freaked out my clam had pinched mantle and was not looking good. It was like your describing. He was fully out except the middle was pulled in. I could see shell he was in so far. I did small water changes daily and after a week and half hes looking great again. Hope yours does ok.
