Culligan or Ozarka Water

Hey... I'm just curious if anyone has ever used a service like culligan or Ozarka for their top off water. Other than price, what would be any pros or cons to doing something like this?

They usually send out drinking water. Drinking water has a lot of minerals and maybe even a tiny bit of chlorine in it to keep it safe to drink. You have to ask them if they carry deionized water or water with nearly zero total desolved solids with nothing added.

Several LFS's use Culligan or Ozarka systems for DI water. They use massive cylinders that fill up 5 gallons in a few seconds. Seems to me they work well. Not sure about the cost though.

I'm talking about the big bottles of drinking water. I could buy one of those little things and use it for drinking water or use it for top off. I'm just curious if it was possible

I use it on a Nano at work. (about a year now)

Xenia and pistol shrimp seem happy with it.

It is a local "bottler" though. Cowboy water, I think.

I second Cowboy water, that is what my FIL uses for topoff on his tank.

I had some trouble with Ozarka not being careful of their bottles. I got one that smelled of gasoline.

Far cheaper and saner to get a ro/di unit.

Perhaps it depends on your area.

I just got done chatting with a fellow reefer that does tank maintenance on tanks in some local doctors' offices. Apparently he has Ozarka deliver DI water and has great success. I think you'd just have to give it a try and see how it goes.
