I was wondering if this would be a halfway viable idea.
My refugium is a 29g and I have room for a 3 or 4 6X6 panes of glass I could put in, near the top, and allow algae and associated microfauna to grow on.
Once a week or so I could just scrape those panes over into a small dish, add in some cyclops or whatever else I'm feeding, and feed my SPS.
Any thoughts? I know this would be useless for nutrient reduction, but perhaps this would be a halfway useful way of culturing and directly feeding microscopic plankton forms....?
